Provides daily support for children ages 2-5 years who are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Daily hours for the program are 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. for children ages 2-5 years old. Children ages 6 and older may also be considered for enrollment.
The Autism Program uses an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) approach, a scientific method for understanding behavior and supporting positive behavior change and skill development. Using techniques such as positive reinforcement and prompting, as well as naturalistic and incidental teaching strategies, ABA therapy can support an individual in acquiring new skills. This approach to treatment is considered a "gold standard" in the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorder with intensive programs recommended in the early developmental period. Additional services can include speech, occupational, and/or physical therapy as appropriate.
Clinic-Based services are provided by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) and Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) who work with families to transition skills to home as well as to engage growth across settings.
