John Fortner, MBA, joined Harbor as part of the Behavioral Connections merger in July 2014. John was hired into the Controller position at Behavioral Connections in 2008 and assumed the role of Director of Operations in 2010.
Mr. Fortner brings over 20 years in managing accounting, information systems and facilities needs for non-profit organizations in Ohio and specifically behavioral healthcare since 2004. Managing facilities and residential housing in a human services environment requires a balance of compassion and compliance that John is able to successfully achieve.
In 2010, John facilitated the migration of the agency’s electronic health record to Cerner’s Community Behavioral Health solution and continues to implement newly released promotions of the software.
John earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace College and his Masters of Business Administration from Liberty University.
As Vice President of Facilities, Supportive Housing and Vocational Services at Harbor, John will oversee the Mental Health Residential Services Program, HUD Housing and Career Connections programs. He will also facilitate the acquisition and maintenance of first class facilities that promote clinical excellence, compassion and expanded access for all of our patients.
