Anne is an independently licensed social worker with supervisory status (LISW-S) in the state of Ohio and is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Indiana. Anne has also earned her licensed chemical dependency counselor III (LCDC III) status in the state of Ohio. Additionally, Anne is a star behavioral health provider- tier 3 (SBHP-Tier 3) as well as a certified first responder counselor (CFRC). Anne’s educational background includes receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with honors (cum laude) through Ball State University as well as earned her Master of Social Work degree through Indiana University. Anne has accumulated over 20 years of clinical practice in a variety of therapeutic settings as well as has a history in her prior work experience of providing supervision for interns and those seeking independent licensure in social work.
Anne’s concentration of practice in client care includes: anxiety, depression & mood disorders; relationship challenges; life transitions; grief & loss issues; substance use disorders (SUD); post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD); and, anger management. Anne has training and experience working with military service members/veterans, and first responders, as well as their families. Anne is trained in providing Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) services individually and within the community.
Anne offers individual, couples and family psychotherapy. Anne implements services to clients of all ages throughout the lifespan and with diverse backgrounds. Anne utilizes evidence-based therapeutic interventions that includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Person-Centered Therapy (PCT) modalities. Anne’s approach is focused on fostering healthy coping strategies and enhancing overall personal growth.
Anne sees EAP clients in the Defiance and Bryan offices as well as by video or phone appointments.
