 Established in 1914, Harbor is highly regarded in the  community for providing top quality mental health,  wellness, and vocational services in Lucas County as well as throughout Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan.
 
Career Connections was created in 2003. Created by a few dedicated workforce development and rehab specialists, our goal was  to provide quality job placement and vocational rehabilitation services to disabled and low-income individuals in our area. 
 
We have grown exponentially to include a knowledgeable and dedicated team of job developers, job coaches, vocational specialists, and clinical team with the capacity to serve a large number of job seekers.
 
Currently, our grant and state funded programs serve over 800 job seekers per year.  And we are excited to report that for the fiscal year 2008, we placed over 511 individuals into jobs!

The Career Connections staff have varied academic degrees and backgrounds with some possessing over 30 years of vocational rehabilitation experience.  Our staff have extensive experience working with individuals with mental illness as well. Our specialized job development team is focused on providing quality vocational services to the individuals they are working with.  They have existing relationships with thousands of local employers and utilize an internal job bank developed from staff contacts. This job bank has information on over 4900 local employers.  Our job development staff are caring individuals who value seeing people employed in jobs they enjoy.
